These files are "images" of the CD's. You cannot "copy" them to a CD.
You will need to use some image "burning" software such as Adaptec's EZ CD creator under Windows, or if your CD WRITER is in a Linux machine you can use one of the command line utilities. There are instructions to do this in the same directory you found the ISO files in. You might want to download the MDSUMS and instruction files... Under Linux use the MDSUM command to verify that you downloaded the entire set correctly first. -JMS |-----Original Message----- |From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Feras Al-Qadi |Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2001 2:22 AM |To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |Subject: [newbie] CD PReparing PLS Help | | |I have downloaded the mandrake8.1/i586 from the ftp server, |it is 942MB, |one dirctory is 823MB (\mandrake\Rpms) | |I need to copy the files to CDs, which should i take and how |to distribute the files between more than one CD | | |
