The problem was the printing system that I had installed for Mandrake 8.1. I originally installed PDQ and could not create a RAW printer. When I installed CUPS, that made it possible to create the RAW printer, thereby allowing WP 8.0 to print. In other words, it appears that WP 8.0 requires CUPS. -- Jim Marshall
