i too am looking to switch from my win2k system over to linux, as my system
has crashed or been corrupted (undeletable files, programs, massive
application errors, corrupted eudora emails/netscape bookmarks, etc.).

glad for the staroffice6beta alternative to bring over all the ms office
dox, but can anyone recommend an email package that can import eudora
emails, filters, and address book? i was able to import my filters into
kmail, but not emails and the filters...

also, is there a linux alternative to import ms outlook data (calendar,
contacts, etc.)?

re drafting packages on linux, try checking out the below 2:
         -dia
         -kivio

they're both located under office/graphs from the mandrake menu...
