In my case, using an 8 port hub, I have 5 system using DHCP through a Win98 system. When using this type of configuration you DO NEED a firewall on each connected system. Blocking all internet traffic on the Host system will not prevent access to or by the systems connected to it. Think of your DSL modem as an entrnaceway. In this entranceway you have 4 doors. Even if you lock the P133 door, entrance can still be gained through the other 3 doors unless they also are locked. Personally on my systems on those running Windows, either full are parttime, I use either ZoneAlarm or Sygate and in Linux Tiny FireWall. Charles
