I've used that card before. You have to do those things, BUT, you need to go to the INTEL WEBSITE (sorry, haven't got the url) and download their "utilities" for the chipset that you have on your card. It's a DOS program, so you'll need to use a dos bootfloppy (if you don't already own one, several are available for free--do a google search for bootdisk.com).
