I run Mandrake on a G4. For some reason, I was never able to get OpenFirmware
to boot Linux by default as soon as I turn it on. So when I turn on the
computer, I go into OpenFirmware, then type (according to the number of my
boot partition):

boot hd:9,\\yaboot

After that I get the yaboot "boot:" prompt and I type the name of the image I
want to load. I, too, have read lots of different versions on the Internet of
what is correct. However, if experience is any indication, txbi is not,
although that's what I was told to use by the installation process.
