I've seen several threads concerning people trying to make USB compact flash/smart media readers work, but this hasn't been fully resolved in all cases. I have been reading this thread because I have a USB microtech compact flash card reader and I have been having the same problem attempting to mount it as others have. Here's the information from Harddrake:
Vendor: eUSB Model: Compact Flash Device: /dev/sda Bus Type: SCSI Capacity: 1047 MB Heads: 64 Sectors: 32 Cylinders: 1023 Here's my fstab entry: /dev/sda /media/camera vfat ro,noauto, user 0 0 This is the response I get when attempting to mount this device: mount -t vfat /dev/sda /media/camera mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda, or too many mounted file systems I hope someone can shed some light on why this won't mount. Thanks for the help. TC __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send your FREE holiday greetings online! http://greetings.yahoo.com
