Do you have any hosts configured? Gnutella needs to connect to a server
initially so that it can fetch a current list of client IPs that are online.
Here are some hosts to start you off:

connect1.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect2.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect3.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect4.gnutellanet.com:6346
