Generally speaking, this is a common problem in Linux -- when you change
the system clock it does not automatically change the hardware clock. 
There are options and ways to do it.  I'd try a Google search on
something like [hwclock time date Linux], you might also try adding or
deleting some terms like rdate or systohw or hwtosys.
