I think you may have misunderstood the previous help. Let me try. If you are in Star Writer and would like to save a file to a floppy disk:
1. Put the floppy in the drive. 2. Open a terminal window as you have done before when trying the previous help. 3. Type 'mount /mnt/floppy' or if that doesn't work, try 'mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy'. 4. You should see the floppy disk light come on momentarily. 5. If no error messages are recieved, then the mount was successful. 6. In Star Writer, go to the Save As function. 7. Choose '/mnt/floppy/' as the directory. This is just like selecting A:\ in Windoze. 8. Type in a file name and Save. To open the file, perform steps 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 before starting or right after starting StarWriter. Then just go to OPEN in Star Writerand do step 7 and then find the file. I don't believe there is a direct way of getting a terminal from Star Writer. Just use the one in your K or GNOME bar.
