It appears that you have Aspell installed (default) but Ispell is what kmail is trying to use. Use software manager and install Ispell from your CD's. Or go to the tool bar at the top of kmail and click on settings and where you see Aspell click on that and choose Ispell or vice versa. If Ispell isn't installed it will tell you.
