along with many other things that is what the cooker kernel work is for, i do 
believe.  they also said they will be fixing the AMD cpu bug, and that is 
AMD's problem not theirs.

then you answered your own question, mandrake does support such a kernel, and 
if you ask them for support on supermount my bet is that they give you 
several options to solve it, and that is one.

how is that not adding functionality to a distro?  i wish the other distros i 
have tried did half as much!

guess that is why i stuck with this one.
