Ok so the problem is the free version won't work with my video card? And the
working version costs money? I don't have problem paying for software but I
like to see it work first especially if I plan on trying to roll it out on
50 machines.

Well, bite the bullet and buy a boxed set or download StarOffice 6.0
(6.0 and a revised 5.2 will work with that S3 Savage video chipset)
