Thanks > i am using a S3ProSavage at home and i am using the open source module for X since the Savage chips were not ported to the the 4.1.x version. what i did was get the tar file (i think it was in www.probo.com/timr but search the MUO board for the keyword 'probo' for the correct link), skip the testing part in the installation, and follow the instructions on the site on how to install the 'module', and restart the X server. hth. -- "Programming, an artform that fights back." ============================= Anuerin G.
