The thing to be careful with for Mandrake (and many other distros?) is that not all of the software is open source. The download versions are open source, but the packaged copies may include non-open source software. (Their 7 disk set definitely includes some non open source stuff, I think the 3 disk set does also.) I think you should view the Linux-Mandrake pages mentioned in another reply. Randy Kramer
