Hello all, I am wondering if someone can tell me how to know what partition certain operating systems are on? For instance.....I want to mount a NTFS from within linux (I know how to do that for vfat so I assume I do the same except the file system type is ntfs instead of vfat)
Someone said this line would work 'mount -t ntfs /dev/hda2/ /mnt/ntfs' Or I could adapt that line into the fstab file. Anyway, my question is, how did they know that the the ntfs system is on /dev/hda2? Is there a utility that can tell me this info? Thanks, Kevin
