I had a 200 with 256mg of ram and it ran quite speedily. It was faster than my amd 400 running windows 98se. The Hard drive will need to be fast too, really all the hardware will need to be as fast as possible to get the best speed out of the system. an old very slow HD, or Old Pc66 ram even if in great quantity can slow down the box. I had pc 100 sdram and a ata 66 hard drive. I put an old 850 wd drive in it and it slowed down alot. for me it all depended on what was under the hood. YMMV
