Hi all, I am wanting to find out if there is a distribution available that will fit on a floppy disk but still be able to send email without having to use the host machines MTA i.e. just use the Internet connection but not any software on the machine?
Also would a minimalist GUI also be able to be included? I am aware of the root boot disk and have heard of Peanut Linux and I wonder if any of these or others can do what I want? I would basically like to be able to insert the disk into a Windows machine and reboot the machine so that it boots my OS of choice i.e. Linux from the floppy disk. If I need to send myself an email at all then I could use the MTA (Message Transfer Agent) on the floppy as opposed to having to use Microsoft mail. Any suggestions or query strings I could submit to google?
