Hi all,
I thought I might be able to give you some peace, but no such luck! I tried to use gaim to get onto my msn account, but it has crashed and I can't get rid of it. I have it sitting there not responding on my desktop, and can't shut it down. Under windows I would simply do a ctrl/alt/del  How do I end task in Linux? I've tried rebooting, but when the desktop comes back, so does gaim, still stuck there. I'm sure there is a keystroke somewhere equivalent to 'end task' - what on earth is it? On the one occasion it decided to close itself, when I reopened, it did so in a crashed state and wouldn't go away!
