     6 kernels shouldn't be a problem unless you need the disk space.
IIRC, 7 is the max that the lilo boot screen will display. If that's
the case, just remove the unwanted entries from lilo.conf or grub's
menu.lst. Run 'lilo' 'Course 'rpm -e' will remove unwanted kernel rpms,
eg, 'rpm -e kernel-2.4.17.21mdk-1-1mdk' . You should also check
/usr/src/linux and /lib/modules/ to make sure the corresponding
kernel/module folders were removed. If not, you can delete them. I
wouldn't advise hand deleting anything from /boot 'less you really know
what you're doin.

    MOF, it'd be a good idea to check that the links in /boot actually
are pointing where it's intended (ie, the 'right' kernels), before you
remove any kernel. I use this /etc/bashrc alias,
   alias bootlinks='ll /boot/{initrd,vmlinuz,System.map}*'
At least initrd and vmlinuz should point to the right kernels. EG,
typing 'bootlinks' displays (among a lot of others) that the kernel I'm
using is properly pointed to

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           22 Mar  4 12:12
/boot/initrd-K7.img -> initrd-2.4.17-21K7.img

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           19 Mar  4 12:12
/boot/vmlinuz-K7 -> vmlinuz-2.4.17-21K7

    There's other ways to uninstall kernels, but I've not used them,
ie, SoftwareManager > Remove, and 'urpme <kernel package>' If you
should ever manage to get your system so it won't even boot, boot the
install CD and choose 'expert' and 'upgrade' ;)
