If not put the pointer on an empty place on the desktop and right click. From the box choose create new>cdrom device> and then in the box that opens there click on the device tap and then click on the down arrow and choose your cdrom device listed there then click on OK. A new icon will be created, you can make another for your cdrw and then delete the old icon. Hope I was reasonably lucid in these directions.
