DHCP isn't supposed to affect that IP. That IP is by definition a private network IP. What you might be mising is that you didn't restart your network services after modifying /etc/hosts. A 'kill -1 1' as root should fix that. (Or 'service network restart'). > Hanan AL-Shargi
