I've installed Netatalk 1.5.2 in Linux and have enabled Appletalk on the Mac (OS 8.5).
When the Linux system boots, I see the line that says "starting atalk", so that
appears to be ok.

The Mac never sees Linux. When I manually type in the server IP address (192.168.1.1)
on the Mac, I get a message saying "No response from the server"

I can ping between the Linux and Mac, so that's not a problem ;)

In Netatalk's afpd.conf file I have:

"192.168.1.1" -transall -uamlist uams_clrtxt.so -savepassword -setpassword
-ipaddr<192.168.1.1>
-uampath </usr/local/etc/netatalk/uams
-uamlist uams_guest.so
-defaultvol /usr/local/etc/netatalk
-systemvol /usr/local/etc/netatalk

Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?
