Hey, (Sorry for late reply, ISP's mailserver didn't want to send my mail) :-(

I found an interesting home page: > http://www.bestpricecomputers.ltd.uk/products/nowindows.htm > At the beginning of the page, they give a few links related > to Microsoft's unfair practices, with sounds good at a first > glance. But in the paragraph "Not to worry, I'll install Windows > myself", they say: > "We do not ship PCs with blank hard disks.". When reading > a bit further, you understand that this means, we will not ship > without windows. AFAIK you can uninstall Windows, remove it from all storage media and give the installation back CD to the retailer for a full refund. It is in Micros~1 Windows' EULA. There has been a bit of fuss about it maybe a year ago IIRC when Linux users in Australia (again IIRC) wanted to use Linux and didn't want Windows preinstalled and they found this in the EULA so they went back to the store and got the refund. Now I hope I am not mixing another story with this but I think a similar thing happened later in the US and the Linux users organised a group trip to return Windows and Micros~1 welcomed them with a "Microsoft greets the Linux community" banner. Well, this everything is IIRC, so anyone please jump in and correct me. Thanks Roman
