Basically, they contain additional programs that can be installed with Mandrake 8.1. CD2 contains open source software, CD3 contains of commercial software (mostly demos, IIUC). Sometime during the installation you should have been asked if you had those additional CDs. You would then have had the opportunity to choose programs from those disks to be installed (during the normal installation package selection process). If you find programs on those disks that you want to install, you can still install them now using, for example, rpm. Randy Kramer
