To access the iso images from the hard disk, you first need to mount them:

mkdir /cdrom
mount -t iso9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/loop /home/cd_iso_file /cdrom

After this, you should be able to browse with kpackage (or with anything 
else) into the iso's.
