I use yahoo pop and smtp for my yahoo account and it works fine. I have used it on Kmail and Evolution. I could never get it to work with outlook or outlook express back in the day when i had to fool with low quality M$ products but thats in the past. I also have an E-Omninet account http://eo.yifan.net (english version) the server for is (eo.yifan.net) for pop and smtp. You migh want to try it and it will take a few days to get an account but its worth the wait.
