Mandrake comes with them all ( if not all of them, it's really close ) so when you get your CD-RW drive, you just su to root and urpmi your way around. one way could be calling urpmi for cdrecord frontend, and urpmi will tell you what it needs. e.g. (as root) urpmi xcdroast or urpmi eroaster or urpmi gcombust or...... well, maybe all of them is a good idea, they are less than 1MB each.
