Don't worry, you're not alone. One of the main criticisms of MacOS X by UNIX
users has been that its filesystem isn't case sensitive. But the fact is that
case sensitivity at the filesystem level brings few benefits (except at the
server-level), and mostly increases confusion amongst ordinary desktop users.
When you've been using a case insensitive filesystem your whole life (as most
Windows and MacOS users have done), changing old habits can be difficult.
