No, It's in the kernel ac 97 sound driver (I checked the patch, it's
been there since .17).

I'm currently running cooker at any rate, so the CD's really don't
matter to me :)

If you could please post a basic AC97 configuration, what goes in
modules.conf, etc... that would be great.
