Hello, Frans Ketelaars, Some versions of Mandrake install with the mixer panel on "mute" ... Do check it ! I had problems with the previous VIA sound chip but could solve them by installing the Alsa drivers ... You will find the Alsa website on the internet ? (evt. use a search engine as I do not know the exact address ... )
