If you are talking about the background image then replace it. For KDE: Control Centre > Look 'n' feel > Backgrounds. If you are talking about the icons then right click on them and delete them. If it is a popup welcome window there may be a checkbox on it to prevent it coming up. P*ssed off attitudes usually draw p*ssed on replies Dale.
