boot
from the CD.. at the prompt...type in "rescue" (without the inverted
commas.)
then
when its finished booting type:
chroot
/mnt
there
you go, booted to console in your linux install.
then
type "drakxconf" at the prompt. (again without the inverted
commas.)
change
the default run level to 3.
that
will boot linux without the GUI and you can then reboot without the CD and play
with your X11 settings to your hearts content.

The video mode is whacked. I tried GUI installs. NOT!!!
I tried text install and then 1024x768 mode, NOT!!!!It's seems that the ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 has problems. :-(
No Linux for me.
