Not much to it, really, once you have Apache installed. Just start it
(httpd start) and you're all set. To test if it's working OK, go to
http://127.0.0.1 and see if you get the default "Welcome to Apache" or
whatever the page says. Your web root is /var/www/html.

If you don't get the welcome page, check out the conf files
/etc/httpd/conf/commonhttpd.conf and /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. IIRC, I
only had to change a line or two in commonhttpd.conf, and it's well
commented.

The documentation for Apache is really quite good.
