You are wrong.

All those apps AREN'T monetary. You can install Wine for free, and you can
install WineX for free. IF you know how.

The others? Well, don't buy them if you don't want to pay for them... Seems
like a logical thing to me.

You are asking to do things that you would otherwise be REQUIRED to pay
for... You want to do what Windows does, but FREE OF CHARGE. Last time I
looked, Windows XP Pro cost $449CAD, and that's a big chunk of change for a
shit OS that crashes all the time and distributes my data to Microsoft and
God knows who else...

Hey, you know that BioWare is putting out Neverwinter Nights with the
Windows, Mac, and Linux versions in the same box? Should they give it away
for free because it runs on Linux? NO.

The attitude that EVERYTHING HAS TO BE FREE is going to be the downfall of
Linux... If it were possible.

Also, take StarOffice, for example. People had the OPTION of paying for it.
Did they? No. But would a business touch it? NO. So...... What do they do?
They put a mandatory charge on it, and now it is what, the number one seller
at Amazon????

Amazing, isn't it?

Just because something costs money, doesn't mean that it isn't worth the
money... Think about it... Linux software is usually cheaper than Windows
software (Mandrake is $60 here... Compare that to $299 for WinXP Homo
Edition...). StarOffice is 20% the price of Microsoft's Office...

So there..... That's my rambling opinion... Good luck running shitty apps in
Linux.

When all else fails, maybe you should just use Windows.
