Hi Marcia, As Randy said, we need to know more about your motherboard before being able to comment on the maximum memory.
But that aside, it sounds to me like you are going to end up with a substantial part of a new PC before you're finished here. I have found that when upgrading to a significantly higher platform like this, you tend to get into diminishing returns very quickly - just moving the bottleneck. Have you considered keeping the current system intact and building a new machine? A 200MHz 128 MB system makes a very nice server!
