What makes you think that Mcirosoft's compilers generate any better code than gcc does? gcc is far more flexible in my opinon when it comes to compiler optimization and instruction scheduling. I haven't been looking at Microsoft's compilers in years, though -- back then, they didn't even have native 386 instruction support :(. > Olaf
