Sper ca ati avut parte de Sarbatori fericite.
Si eu am avut, aproape. Am reusit sa compilez kernel-ul 2.4.1,
intr-o distributie RH 7.0,dar, problema e ca NU ma pot conecta la
internet sub noul kernel.
Cu kernel-ul original nu am problema asta.
Atunci cind dau comanda si se formeaza numarul, si dupa negocierea
dintre cele doua modem-uri se intrerupe imediat legatura.
Mesajul de eroare ce-l primesc este:

Rulez /sbin/moduke -v ppp, si-mi spune:
modprobe: Can't locate module ppp
Mai precizez ca am instalat si ppp-2.4.0-2 cum am inteles din listele de
discutii
ca este necesar daca vreau sa ma cuplez cu modem-ul.
De asemeni din Sectiunea: "Network device support" am selectat modulele
pentru
ppp support, ppp deflate si, ppp BSD.
Si totusi nu vrea sa cupleze modem-ul sub noul kernel.
Inchei urindu-va toate cele bune si va rog sa ma ajutati.
