I just followed Miark's advice and set my
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/BitTorrent/download.py
to max_upload_rate to 20 (the line is located about 1/3 down the
script). That speeded my download rate up to about 500 KBits/sec
from about 50 Kbits/sec..
