Hi all, I've installed Mandrake 10.1 O on a friends desktop. He's using it, which is great - but the performance is not great. The swap is being used all the time, even though he has 192MB of ram.
Also, the graphics are slow. When you click 'logout' in kde, instead of the screen "just going dark" and presenting you with the logout options, it takes three slow refreshes to go dark. Then you get the menu. Does anyone know what I can do to fix the sluggishness? I put xfce4 on it for now, and it's a lot faster. But I would have though 192MB was loads for kde.
