Install seems to have gone well ... but
attempted to set resources for urpmi and get a message about 10.1 already exists. Seeing as I did a clean install and only saved Windows, how can this be?
I tried "rm -rf /var/lib/rpm/--db* rpm --rebuilddb" (syntax here may not be quite correct but copied and pasted into command line).
Get message "10.1 already exits". I selected 10.2 in the se,ection process. Any help - gratefully recieved!

Rosemary,
First, open MCC, find the software media manager, and remove all media except your CDs.
Then go to easyurpmi, select 2005 as the version - make sure you tick the box marked "Show specific sources too", then click the button marked "proceed to step 2" - if you don't remember to click "proceed to step 2" it will give you the sources for the default version - 10.1 - rather than your selection.
In step 2, select a mirror for each source - one each for contrib, main, updates, jpackage, plf-free, and plf-nonfree. If you are using dialup, or any internet service with limited bandwidth, tick the box marked "Use compressed index...", then click on "proceed to step 3".
Now you need to open a root terminal. Use copy/paste to copy the output from step 3 of easyurpmi into the root terminal, one medium at a time until you have all six of them set up.
You will then have a complete set of urpmi sources for LE 2005.
