Maybe I'll go back to bed. > Well, usbview does not work from the CLI anyway. But you can run lsusb from the CLI. It doesn't give you the fancy tree that usbview does. If you want to run is a a normal user, you have to specify the path:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mikkel]$ /usr/sbin/lsusb Bus 002 Device 002: ID 07af:0006 Microtech CameraMate SmartMedia and CompactFlash Card Reader [eusb/shuttle] Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 001 Device 003: ID 055f:021e Mustek Systems, Inc. BearPaw 1200 TA/CS Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05e3:0604 Genesys Logic, Inc. Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 If you run "/usr/sbin/lsusb -v" you will get more detail about each device. For me, Bus 001 are the two rear sockets, and Bus 002 are the two front ones. Mikkel -- Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with Ketchup!
