I'm not sure where in your chain you get the error, and it's been
awhile since i messed with this, but i think you need the
dev=ATA:0,0,0 as in:

cdrecord -v -eject fs=6m speed=4 dev=ATA:0,0,0 

That's what i had to do when I switched to 10.0.
