Hi All,
When I open click on a weblink in an e-mail,neither Konqueror or Firefox open the link.
How do I configure Thunderbird to work properly?
Cheers,
Drew

Download 'AboutConfig' for Thunderbird here https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/showlist.php?application=thunderbird&category=All

To do this:
Right click the link,
Save it to somewhere you will remember
Open Thunderbird
Go to Tools > Extensions
Select 'install' from bottom left
Point to the AboutConfig and click 'open'
Click 'install'
Restart Thunderbird

In Thunderbird go to Tools > AboutConfig
This brings up a new window
Right click anywhere near the lists
A window will come up with 'New' and 'String'
For preference name enter 'network.protocol-handler.app.http'
For string value enter the path/to/Firefox (mine is /home/rosemary/.mozilla/firefox)
Do the same using 'network.protocol-handler.app.https'

Restart Thunderbird.

I have a feeling that when I used these instructions something wasn't quite right, and Margot came to the rescue, but I haven't been able to find my other instructions. These instructions came from one of the mozilla help sites.

There is also way using System>Configuration>KDE>Components and, I think, Component Chooser. Again, I've been searching the archive and can't find the relevant emails.

I'll keep thinking about it and post if I remember anything else.
