My personal tactic is to email manufacturers and request information about their products and its compatability with linux, different manufacturer every week, whether I want their products or not. Perhaps if a concerted effort, possibly a few dozen contacting (e.g.) Canon *might* eventually erode manufacturers resistance, eventually.
Good idea. Greed is the best bait when manipulating Corporations.
