isn't boot pointing to hda and you want to boot hdb5 ???

The "boot=" entry is where the boot loader is installed. It is normaly
/dev/hda for an IDE system. You would only make it /dev/hdb5 if you were
using another boot manager that would then transfere control over to
this one when you selected that menu entry. For example, if you used
System Commander, and had more then one Linux install, you might have an
entry called Mandrake that would then transfere conftoll to lilo
installed on /dev/hdb5.

The problem here is probably with the lilo.conf generated by mkrescue
that would normaly be used to boot the CD image it is creating. But that
is not what is posted here.

Thanks Mikkel

I made the installation onto hdb5 using the PCLinuxOs ' Install to hard drive ' Option and I am attempting to make this rescue disk from within that installation so as to be able to boot back into it should my efforts in getting everything to boot from my hda installation of MDK10 fall over.
Just seems strange that this installation cannot make its own rescue iso - the same occurred when attempting to do it directly to a floppy.

So any thoughts on how I can get lilo.conf generated correctly here ?
