I know I've asked about passwords before but can't find the post on the

know there's a command to change it. Help please.
Thanks

To change your password as a user, use "passwd". To change your password as root, you use the same command. But root can also chang4e a user's password with "passwd <user>". A user needs to know their current password in order to change it. This is not needed when changing the password as root.

Thanks all for the password info. Going into my file of bits and pieces of information :-)
