Thanks for your answer. I've followed the instructions: Boot from the Mandrake 9.2 install CD At the prompt, hit F1 for more options. Enter rescue at the prompt.
After some time I got the screen with the several options (Re-install Boot loader between them) unfortunately the keyboard didn't work any more at this point.. the mouse neither.. so I got stucked and had to reboot.
