No - I can't install transcode because libMagick-6.4.0.so.0 is missing and I
can't find it.
Then because I haven't got transcode I can't get DVDRip to install.
I'm hoping that this is a temporary problem with the mirrors which will soon
be resolved. If not I will try to look into Stephen's suggestion of compiling
transcode from source, but this would be breaking new ground for me and I am
a bit nervous about it.

Getting and unpacking the tarballs should be more than easy enough -

After you untar/ungzip the package, cd into the dir that's been created,
read the README and INSTALL file for verification of any other
dependencies, then just:
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
su
make install && ldconfig
...THEN make sure you have all the ImageMagick libs (dev libs as well)
and you should THEN be able to get DVD::Rip installed...
Reading plf-discuss ML just now, the problem was the transcode
package for 10.2 on the mirrors. A new package to fix the %requires
should be on the mirrors now. (the bugzilla #29 was resolved yesterday)
I'd recommend that anyone usin plf packages subscribe to their
ML. It's not a high traffic list.
