| My 160g ATA also seems to run a little warmer than the 80g. I hadn't
| thought of the empty bay between drives idea.  I'll have to do that.

| The Maxtor 80g drive is still in warranty. Time to save everything
| and wait for the new drive.  Wish I could keep this one until it
| actually dies, to see how long it would last.  Alas, Maxtor wants it
| back in 90 days.  I've known people with "failing drives" that
| seemed to go for quite a while.

Anecdotal, I know, but a friend just brought me a Windows box with problems, 
-- bad sector in the first 4 Gigs of an 80 Gig Maxtor about a year old.
